1. What makes you 'Kwee'? Tell me a bit about yourself.
I'm Kwee, the name itself comes from slurring the word 'kiwi' which is based off've my dual nationality from both England and New Zealand. As a person i'm kinda just a lurker within the community but that won me an award so who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Regardless, i've been around in CL not nearly as long as people like daddy Kradden but I like to think i've made somewhat of a mark here.
2. What is your motivation for casting?
My casting motivation was purely whimsical, i'm not generally in it for the long term investments nor do I have the talent of many but it's something I largely enjoy doing because I meet some great people along the way, my motivation mostly comes from me wanting to be able to stick at something properly in the online world. Although since being at CL it's been the gateway to keep me in the community, so i'm not just some guy in a discord about a league without being properly involved, it keeps me up to date because I love me some drama sometimes.
3. What has your experience been so far of casting in the European Compete Leagues?
CL in terms of the games and casting experience has been incredible, i've enjoyed working with the likes of Kortek, Kradden and Greyhart as well as my time as an assistant head caster where I got to meet new talent or talk to and take advice from higher, more experienced casters. The overall experience as a caster within the EUCL has been very positive.
4. What is your favourite champion?
I mean 5 man ults aside, it's probably Gnar. It just feels incredibly fun to play someone who seems to translate well in and out of lane, with hyper being an absolute nightmare to play against in lane and aery just adding to his kinda disgusting lane pressure, the kit feels incredibly unique and I just love the designs as well, thematically and mechanically I love the champion. Ornn is a close second.
5. Do you have anything you'd like to add on?
This is where I'm gonna actually thank Harry Docda Evans, difficulties i've had with him aside as a management role he has been the reason I got into casting and he treated me well as one, listening to what I wanted to do and gave me opportunities to perform in finals of events etc. Similarly I want to thank the friends I joined CL with, Coxyy, Tent, Big Dik Billy and Seto Kaiba and I all joined CL as players but obviously everything goes everywhere and we end up doing our own things, some more successful than others. And also a big shout out to the talent that graces EU CL, Steam Golem, Val, CJ, and the incredibly talented casters we've found off've the streets of our emails. The work the EU based admins do for this league is paramount to it's success and recently the content has been beyond incredible. Apologies if I miss anyone.
